Not only did Matthew keep hanging out with his mates, but it was noticed and noted by the religious leaders...they thought these people not worthy of their time or input...
While it can be hard to maintain good relationships with people who's values are different from yours, don't walk away from people just because they don't fit the mold, if others look down on them...sometimes we're too easily influenced by what others think...

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.
