Our key piece of protection is salvation :)
No matter what I am safe in God's love and His ultimate protection.
No matter what I do, or what I've done, or had done to me, God won't love me less.
And the only weapon mentioned is the Word.
Jesus, God personified  is the Word. God expresses Himself thru his revelation, the Word, & here it is not my sword, but the sword of the Spirit...
God is with us in every way...

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,  for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.
