Some time later, the Lord spoke to Abram in a vision and said to him, "Do not be afraid, Abram, for I will protect you, and your reward will be great."
But Abram replied,
"O Sovereign Lord, what good are all your blessings when I don't even..."
Genesis 15:1-2 NLT
Even though Abram knew God, even though God was clearly chatting to him directly, even though God was speaking directly to Abram's fear with protection for today and a purposeful future, Abram just has questions.
And that's OK.
We can hear God's heart for us, His promises to us, and yet we can be just like Abram, full of questions.
And that's OK.
Ask them.
It's just being human.
Note though how Abram addresses God;
"O sovereign Lord"
As we bring our questions and our fears and insecurities, don't lose sight of who we're bringing them to.
Someone bigger.
Yet someone who happily holds space for our questions and doubts and fears, who continues to whisper words of courage and hope.
Let's listen for those today.
#youareBeloved.
