Friday! Proverbs!
A man of many companions
may come to ruin,

Proverbs 18:24 ESV
End of another chapter in Proverbs! Thanks for hanging in there :)
I think this Solomon was looking forward to our FB, Instagram age where "friends" are plentiful, but real relationships are getting rarer.

And Solomon's solution:
But there is a friend.
Does he mean those one or two or three people who become sojourners through (parts of) your life with you.
Those who are there for you no matter what you need, how silly it might seem, who will stand with you in the fire.
That friend.
Or somehow was he looking forward centuries to Jesus.
But there is a friend.
Closer.

Not only that but Jesus was somehow the agent of everything that has been made in the physical, social, and spiritual. Jesus is at the centre of it all. Walking around Jesus. Cooking fish for breakfast Jesus. Heart aching as he ...
