The one who states his case first seems right,
until
the other comes and examines him
Proverbs 18:17 ESV
I sometimes state my case before God.
Tell Him I'd do things differently, it would be better if He did things my way.
In my time
My kingdom come
My will be done

Our God is all about the heart...ultimately it's about what or who we worship.
Who has authority.

And quietly, gently, he examines my heart, searches my heart through the Word, the Spirit, the lives and input of others...through living with image bearers, worshipping together, my heart motivations are nudged, tempered, and sometimes cauterised...
I state my case and it seems right.
Until
He comes and examines me, searches me ...

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,  for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
