Friday! Proverbs!
The evil will bow down before the good, And the wicked [will bow down] at the gates of the righteous.
Proverbs14:19 AMP
We like to think that we're the good, the righteous, & that one day, those who would inflict evil on this world will say "you were right, I was wrong & now I'm getting what I deserve..."
Justice will prevail.
Kind of makes us feel good
And maybe this is what it means...
But
If we put Jesus in this proverb, where is he?
He must be the good, the righteous. And that only leaves room for me in the position of the evil and wicked bowing down at the gates of the righteous one...knowing that the only reason I can stand at all is through the grace of him who is good.
We're all outside the gate.
And all we have to do is accept the invitation to come in :)

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.
