Then I said to them,
"You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace."
I also told them about the gracious hand of my God on me and what the king had said to me.
They replied, "Let us start rebuilding."
So they began this good work...

He'd done his research, connected to their emotions & got their attention
He shared how God was at work & told his story...
And the people jumped on board :)
They joined the restoration project...God is calling all of us to be part of His restoration project...in some way to use our gifts and skills and resources to make this place better, to rebuild the walls & gates...inside the walls there is protection, peace, justice, flourishing...
