Psalm 119:36-37 ESV

Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain!  
Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.

With so much marketing material arriving in my mailbox everyday...piles of worthless things...or maybe the worthless things are the distractions, FBook, gaming...the psalmist here is asking God to change his heart and orientation from self, stuff I want, to God, his ways...asking nd what are they?

I like presents, but they aren't as important as people...are we willing to pray these verses today?

Incline my heart to your testimonies,
and not to selfish gain!  
Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things;
and give me life in your ways.

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,  for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
