Luke 1:5-7 ESV

...there was a priest named Zechariah... And he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron...Elizabeth.
And they were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord. But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and both were advanced in years.

He was a pastor, she was from an important church family & they were both faithfully traveling with God...yet...no children (in the culture this would have been a big thing)
Being faithful to God doesn't mean everything will be easy, that success will always come, that everything will work out as we want or plan or hope.
When others succeed
Sometimes it's hard to be faithful
When God is silent

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,  for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
