Acts 1:3 ESV

He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.

Jesus.
Died. Suffered.
And in that suffering took on himself all of the darkness of this world
Jesus.
Risen.
Without the resurrection there is no christian faith...in Jesus resurrection, death is defeated, the hope that we have of renewal, of restoration, depends on the resurrection...during that 40 days Jesus talked about the Kingdom, not some future far off time and place, but here and now, where renewal and restoration in Him can be found.

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,  for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
