Isaiah 54:2, 11-12 CSB
[2] Enlarge the site of your tent, and let your tent curtains be stretched out;
do not hold back; lengthen your ropes, and drive your pegs deep.
...
[11] Poor Jerusalem, storm-tossed, and not comforted, I will set your stones in black mortar, and lay your foundations in lapis lazuli.
I will make your fortifications out of rubies, your gates out of sparkling stones, and all your walls out of precious stones."
Isaiah 54:2, 11-12 CSB
Everything will be made new, set right, put on a new foundation, rebuilt, remade, renewed.
When we hold this hope, what changes for us today?
Where can I take a step I've hesitated in, move when I've felt stuck?
Where might I drive that tent peg in more deeply, commit to a community even though it's imperfect, incomplete?
The hope we hold changes everything.
