Dear friends, 

we are already God's children, 

but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. 

But we do know that we will be like him, 

for we will see him as he really is. 

1 John 3:2 NLT

If we're feeling a bit lost, when this world seems too much, when we're struggling to find hope, John reminds us of at least these 3 things:

Dear friends - we're in this together with all our limitations and doubts and insecurities and questions - we're not alone.

We are already God's children - of this there is no doubt, whether we're close, living under the same roof, across town, or living in another country across the globe our belonging does not change. Proximity to God right now does not determine family status.

There's more to come - when Jesus returns there's another transformation coming for us - just what that looks like is a mystery, but there's more.
