Isaiah 59:2, 16 NIV

...But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. 

Today at Crossroads our topic is why did Jesus have to die?

Because our sin got in the way. Seperates us from God.

V16...He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm achieved salvation...

There was no other way than for God to make it. The arm of God, Jesus, became the way.

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,  for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.
