Ephesians 2:11 NLT

Don’t forget that you Gentiles used to be outsiders. You were called “uncircumcised heathens” by the Jews, who were proud of their circumcision, even though it affected only their bodies and not their hearts.

When our religious acts and rules, and the outward display becomes more important than the attitude of our hearts is what strikes me here...how easy to think church is about buildings or bands or a cool pastor...it's our hearts that God is interested in...

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,  for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
