Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body.

Colossians 1:18 NLT

This is not the only time Paul uses this analogy of the body, that we're a body, impacted in good and not so good ways by one another. 

And here Paul takes this picture further with Jesus as the head. 

A head and a body both need one another, they're integrated, can't be separated, can't function on their own. 

Together Jesus and the Church are something, someone. 

I wonder what this means for us today?

One thing that seems clearer is that nothing can separate us from His love. We're too connected.

We are Beloved.

Inseparable.
