Better is a little with righteousness

Better.
The Hebrew word here for better is "towb" and appears 271 times in the Bible.
In Genesis 1:4, God looks at the light the He has created and says it is "towb".
Good.
Beautiful
Better
The light has appeared directly from God and carries His attributes, His righteousness.
Here in this proverb, what is good, beautiful, better is contingent on how it's been gained - with injustice or righteousness.
That includes the "how" but also the heart behind it. A heart of righteousness.
A heart right with God.
How we live.
The decisions we make
Better is a choice.
Today choose Better
Choose Good
Choose Beautiful.

As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside privately and told them what was going to happen to him.  "Listen," he said,  "we're going up to Jerusalem, where the Son of Man will be betrayed to the leading priests and the teachers of religious law.  They will sentence him to die. James 1:23-24 NASB For many people this is a time of year for a bit of introspection, thinking about the year that was, and what's ahead. James is encouraging us to live out God's Word. I am who I am in everything I do. And that's how James wants us to live out God's Word.
