Again Jesus said,
"Peace be with you!
As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."
John 20:21 NIV
Peace.
Peace from knowing that Jesus is who he said he is, peace from knowing that everything he said is true...
And then.
A commissioning.
A call to action.
Jesus came not to be served, but to serve, and his team are here being sent out in the same way.
And so are we.
Sent to serve.
Peace first.
Then sent.
When Jesus gave his team the example of serving by washing their feet, he didn't go across town or around the world, but started with those closest to him.
That's where it starts, love and serve those in your house first.
