Matthew 5:44-47 ESV

But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,  so that...For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have?...And if you greet only your brothers...

It's so easy to love people we like, people who are like us, think like us, live like us...but Jesus words challenge us to live and act beyond our comfort zone...Heard a story last night of a christian from Israel being greeted in a church in the us, until he said he was from Israel but was not Jewish but Palestinian, and the greeting turned to disdain...

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,  for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
