But God, being rich in mercy...

mercy

1. compassionate or kindly forbearance shown toward an offender, an enemy, or other person in one's power;

3. the discretionary power of a judge to pardon someone or to mitigate punishment

Our God is rich in mercy...towards us...towards me!
His mercy has pardoned me, has made me right with God, my punishment borne by Jesus...
(maybe I could be just  a bit more merciful then...)

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,  for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.
