John 21:6 CEB
He said, 
"Cast your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." So they did, and there were so many fish that they couldn't haul in the net.

I'm sure someone has written a book on the "7 principles of net casting for a successful life" from this passage, but I don't think that is what this is all about. 
The disciples in the boat having been out fishing at night didn't recognise Jesus at all. 
He was just some random guy on the shore giving fishing advice.
It was the result of that advice that made them realise it was Jesus. This miracle pointed them to Jesus. 
Through what happened they were able to see Jesus clearly for who he is.
The Kingdom isn't pointing us to material prosperity, but pointing us to Jesus. 
Our culture wants to make it about the fish. 
The resurrected, back in his body, saviour of the world, fishing advisor, friend, conqueror of death, Jesus, that's who is at the centre of the story...the fish just point us to Him...

Genesis 15.8-18.ESV But he said O Lord God , how am I to know that I shall possess it? ...When the sun had gone down and it was dark, behold, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between these pieces. March 15 was the last day we looked at Abram's story...he was questioning God and this is God's response...sacrifices and smoke and fire and a covenant...a promise... Isn't that what we crave for sometimes? God, if only you'd just show me smoke & fire, a burning bush a sign, miracle, healing...then all my questions would disappear...all my doubts would be gone... 2moro we'll see Abram's response but I think God values our faith in spite of our questions and doubts. That we choose Him anyway #faith
