Jesus climbed into a boat and went back across the lake to his own town. Some people brought to him a paralyzed man on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man,
"Be encouraged, my child! Your sins are forgiven"
Matthew 9:1-3 NLT
No matter what's going on on the outside, Jesus is interested in the heart.
He sees their faith, their collective faith, & gives a kind and gentle reassurance about what really matters.
You're forgiven.
My guess is that the paralyzed man is caught up in his condition being linked to his sin. His heart condition.
I wonder what things I'm worried about today that Jesus would say "be encouraged my child...the big ticket stuff I've dealt with for you. You're OK with me..."

Joseph replied..."Dont you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now - life for many people..." Genesis 50:19-20 MSG The view from the drone. The different perspective. "God has been at work in my life despite, in fact within the hatred that you had towards me. Even though I couldn't always see it, I kept trusting Him, even when He was silent, when all hope seemed lost... God was at work... Can you see that now?" #faith #faithinthedark
