Let's pick up on Abram's story...he's just had a massive victory, rescued Lot...

Genesis 15:1-2 ESV

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:
Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.
But Abram said...
...why haven't you fixed this other stuff in my life then? Why am I still broke / hurt / sick / lonely / _________
Abram it seems us just like me.
Whining
Yes God I know you're on my side, so just sort this out for me!
Perhaps today I just need to acknowledge that you God are good, that you're on my side, that you are my shield, and I trust you today.
And tomorrow.
No matter what.
