Now Jesus loved Martha, her sister, and Lazarus.
John 11:5 CSB
Maybe John had a moment where he forgot Mary's name! He mentions her specifically in v 1&2 so why skip her name here?
Perhaps he's just human like us. None of us get it right all the time, and that's OK.
There's some difficult things to read in this chapter, in this story, and that's why this verse is so important. 
Jesus loves them.
Loves Martha.
Loves Mary.
Loves Lazarus.
No matter what happens in this story, Jesus love for them is Truth. 
A truth to hold on to.
In the middle of our stories, in the middle of your story, Jesus loves you.
Loves you.
No matter what happens in your story, this is True.
True for you. 
Jesus loves you.

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,  for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
