Matthew 6:9, 12, 14-15 NIV

This, then, is how you should pray...And forgive us our debts,    as we also have forgiven our debtors...

The context is the "Lord's Prayer" - Jesus giving an outline of how to pray...which includes praying for & giving  forgiveness to others. He then adds more

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Forgiveness is an important part of God's character and needs to be a key part of our lives.
Being unforgiving towards others damages our relationship with God (not lose my salvation damage tho)
Who do I need to forgive?
How can I be characterised by being forgiving?
