It would be interesting to hear these prayers that Jesus is referring to, the babbling on, the repeating...this feels slightly humourous don't you think?

Perhaps in all the babbling on we're not taking the time to listen.

To stop 

To wait

To read

To meditate

To ask Him what He has to say.

(This doesn't mean we can't have long prayers or can't go back with the same requests - it's a heart thing - what's going on in my heart when I just go on and on?)

3 times Jesus said "when you pray" and I just wonder how often when I pray I make space to listen...
